Activities

Enjoy hiking and biking, swimming,
golfing, birding, and antique hunting!

South Forty RV Park in Giddings, Texas is an ideal place to settle back and relax, admiring the views with a glass of lemonade. Our quiet RV park has a country feel, even though we're only about an hour east of the state capital of Austin. Right in camp at our Giddings RV park, you can take a dip in the pool, soak in the hot tub, or enjoy bird watching and wildlife viewing right from your campsite.

With two cattle pastures set near the RV sites, you can enjoy cattle-watching at nearly any time of day. If its fishing adventures you're looking for, just head to Lake Somerville or let the pros at Hickory Hill Guide Service show you to the best bass fishing spots on Fayette Lake. And don't miss the chance to play a round of golf at the beautiful Giddings Country Club.
If shopping and antique hunting are what you're after, just head to the Round Top Antiques Fair, held the first weekend of April and October. This amazing event draws antiques and antique buyers from miles around. In our own town of Giddings you'll also find mountain biking trails, tennis courts, bowling lanes, hunting areas, the Sheriff's Posse Rodeo Grounds, and plenty of grassy space for games like volleyball, softball, and baseball. And don't miss a trip to the historic Lee County Heritage Center, the charming town of Dime Box, or a visit to the Wendish community at Serbin.

At nearby Bastrop State Park, you can explore the famous Texas Lost Pines, go hiking and biking, or play a round of golf. There's a lake where you can fish for largemouth bass, channel catfish, and sunfish, plus plenty of open water for canoeing and boating. The Lost Pines are an isolated timbered region of loblolly pine and hardwoods -- a bit of the East Texas Piney Woods that's happens to be far from home.
